An image of a Vintage Steam Engine image is wrapped around a brass tube with copper wire and foil adhered to it. Watch gears are carefully removed from mechanical watches and placed onto the colored metal foil covered brass tube. Copper wire wire is then wrapped on the tube to highlight the metal foil and is used to form the train tracks. The assembly is placed into a mold and a non-yellowing polyester acrylic is poured over the tube over a three day period.
Once the assemblies are dry, they are removed from the mold and placed on a lathe, tuned, polished and matched with the appropriate pen components to form the One-Of-A-Kind fine writing instrument you see!
The pen comes in a cherry engraved wooden box and if a rollerball is your selection, it will utilize a "Schmidt Style" rollerball refill which is readily available at any stationary store. If you are choosing a fountain pen, cartridges or a converter may be used. However, these refills and fountain pen ink is available in the Pens Accessories & Supplies section of this website.
