Description
The quintessential chef’s hat is called a toque blanche. “Toque” refers to any brimless hat, and “blanche” is French for white. White is considered the best color for chefs, as it symbolizes the cleanliness of the kitchen. Traditionally, the chef’s hat was meant to have 100 pleats, symbolizing 100 different ways to cook an egg. Today, there might not actually be 100 pleats in a chef’s hat, but the symbolism still stands.
This inlay pen is made from maple and the inserts are silver acrylic. Once each piece is cut, it is assembled by hand and finished with CA glue to create this stylish one of a kind writing instrument that truly reveals the love of nature and its bountiful gifts.
The pen comes with a laser engraved Chef cherry pen box and utilizes a "Parker Style" refill which is readily available at any stationary store or is available in the Pens Accessories & Supplies section of this website.
